In the final 12 months before local revenue stamps were phased out a 신원증명서 (written character reference) was issued in 공주군 (Gonju County) for a Mr. 이 (Lee). These documents were especially needed during the 1970s to show that a person had not been in bad standing with the Korean government, which at that time was still run by the military.
This document was paid for with two 10 won stamps from 공주군. On the back of the document is a cancellation dated 23 May 1975.
