On the other (western) side of the Jeokgeumro (적금로) a small mock-up of a railcar had been built. The mock-up is too small, but from a distance it looks quite good. Some other assorted railway related things have been planted around it. Gojan Station (고잔역) on line 4 in the background.

A station sign showing that this is supposed to be Gojan Station (고잔역), between Wongok (원곡) and Sari (사리), showing that the new line 4 has a lot more stations than the old narrow gauge line used to have.

Very close to Gojan Station (고잔역)

Very close to Gojan Station (고잔역) a lot of things have been put next to the line (but not necessarily related to railways).

Near Gojan Station (고잔역) part of the rails have been turned over.

Near Gojan Station (고잔역) part of the rails have been turned over, so texts could be created on the straight lower part of the rails. I didn’t take pictures of all these texts, it was getting late (the sun is getting lower in the pictures…).

One of the texts on the rails. The text reads “even though the track is gone this is a meeting place”.

Just before Gojan Station (고잔역) large pictures of the old narrow gauge line have been attached to the line 4 structure.

Just before Gojan Station (고잔역) large pictures of the old narrow gauge line have been attached to the line 4 structure. In this picture people are getting on a single railcar narrow gauge train. This picture is quite famous, I have seen it several times now. What it shows is a lot of people entering the train, which makes you wonder why the line had become so expansive to maintain.

Looking back towards Gojan Station (고잔역), eastern direction. The canal here doesn’t show any sign of a former narrow gauge railway bridge. The road here is the Hwajeongcheonseoro (화정천서로).

At this point next to line 4 the track gets more and more overgrown in parts.

A few hundred meters from Gojan Station (고잔역).

Final shot of the day, it was almost 19.00 and the sun was going down fast. This is a few hundred meters from Gojan Station (고잔역), looking west into the sun. The next station is Gongdan Station (공단역) online 4.
