The old line next to the new line.

The old line next to the new line. In the distance the concrete of Handaeap Station (한대앞역) can be seen. The rails are gone here.

Just before Handaeap Station (한대앞역) a sign says you are entering station area.

Unfortunately just before Handaeap Station (한대앞역) a sign says you are entering station area, it is illegal to go on here. I noticed it would be possible to walk all the way to the station, but I didn’t want to end up in trouble…

View towards Handaeap Station (한대앞역), the station area sign is one meter to the back.

View towards Handaeap Station (한대앞역), the station area sign is one meter to the back. The trains on line 4 are easily recognizable by their light blue paint scheme.

At Handaeap Station (한대앞역) the track bed can still be seen.

At Handaeap Station (한대앞역) the track bed can still be seen, even part of the old narrow gauge platform seems to be still there in the distance. Some sleepers can be seen close to the current building.

Also at Handaeap Station (한대앞역), but then view towards the west.

Also at Handaeap Station (한대앞역), but then view towards the west. There is no track bed left amongst the trees in the back ground and until close to Jungang Station (중앙역) nothing can be found. Here it seems that a large mount was created next to line 4 (southern side of embankment), it could be that this was a waste disposal dump.

View west right under the line 4 elevated line, near Jungang Station (중앙역). The Hanggaul Road (항가울로) is behind me, Jungang Station (중앙역) in front. Here it is possible to walk under the line between stations, there are no fences at all.

Some remnants of the narrow gauge line can be found here, like sleepers, but nothing more than that.

Just before Jungang Station (중앙역) a small river crosses the old line.

Just before Jungang Station (중앙역) a small river crosses the old line. No old bridge is here, not even some parts on the embankment. It might be that this is actually a canal, built after 1995. There are a few more of these canals in Ansan.
